We must have an airistocracy - not of privilege, but of understanding and purpose - or mankind will fail... And here my peculiar difficulty with democracy comes in. If humanity at large is capable of that high education and those creative freedoms our hope demands, much more must its better and more vigorous types be so capable. And if those who have power and leisure now, and freedom to respond to imaginative appeals, cannot be won to the idea of collective self-development, then the whole of humanity cannot be won to that. The solution does not lie in direct confrontation. We can defeat democracy because we understand the workings of the human mind, the mental hinterlands hidden behind the persona.
We need Constructive imagination working within vast complex of powerful people, clever people, enterprising people, influential people, amidst whom power is diffused today, to produce that self-conscious highly selective, open-minded, devoted airistocratic culture, which seems to me to be the next necessary phase in the development of human affairs. I see human progress, not as the spontaneous product of crowds of raw minds swayed by elementary needs, but as a natural but elaborate result of intricate human interdependencies, of human energy and curiosity liberated and acting at leisure, of human passions and motives modified and redirected by literature and art.
World events do not occur by accident: They are made to happen, whether it is to do with national issues or commerce; and most of them are staged and managed by those who hold the puse strings.
It is difficult to re-educate people who have been brought up on nationalism to the idea of relinquishing part of their sovereignty to a supra-national body.

The former editor of the New York Times editorial page says it is “crazy” to be opposed to the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty and she can’t understand why it has become a hot-button issue in the Republican presidential race. Gail Collins declared in a November 3 column in the Times that the measure simply clarifies “rules for navigation and mining in international waters” and sets up “a system for settling disputes.” Those opposed to it, she says, are spinning “conspiracy theories.” But Collins is doing the spinning.
What if there were evidence that the treaty was the product of those who believe in world government financed by global taxes? Hold on to your seats.
The true story of how the Law of the Sea Treaty came into being is a fascinating one that I have investigated for several years. I researched the matter at the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea in New York City and at the Friends Historical Collection at Guilford College in North Carolina. The Guilford College papers demonstrate the activities that engaged Sam and Miriam Levering as they wrote and promoted this treaty. The Leverings, a husband and wife team who were Quakers and World Federalists, helped write the treaty and lobbied for it through a non-governmental organization called the Neptune Group.
The Law of the Sea Treaty which the Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted in favor of ratifying by a vote of 17-4 is part of a plan to average U.S. naval forces into a world Navy that would enforce international law on the world’s oceans. The Law of the Sea Treaty will allow the U.S. Navy to more easily police the world’s oceans while further undermining U.S. national sovereignty by recognizing United Nations authority over the majority of the world’s oceans. Prior to this vote on the Law of the Sea Treaty in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the U.S. Navy combined with the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Marines released a document entitled “A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Sea Power”, which outlines how U.S. naval forces will seek stronger international cooperation to protect the tyrannical global system that is currently being formed. It is interesting to note that the document focuses more on how there is a need to protect the global system and seek closer ties to international partners instead of defending the United States. The timing of the Law of the Sea Treaty being re-introduced in the Senate and the release of this document from the Navy is not pure chance. Admiral Michael Mullen, the recently promoted Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has spoken on many occasions about the formation of an international 1000-ship naval force. Clearly, this is all part of a plan to use U.S. naval forces as a foundational building block to form an international navy force that will enforce international law on the world’s oceans for the coming one world government.

Such people rightly fear a reformation, or an unfettered council.”
“[T]he pope has built a market-house for the convienience of all this refined traffic, viz.: the house of the datarius in Rome… [If] you bring money to this ecclesiastical market… one can pay and then legally charge interest on loans of any sort. You can get a legal right to goods you have stolen or seized.
